I did this work in 1994, shortly before Christ
called me to follow Him. I remember being
struck with the absolute horror of the first murder
of a human being. I imagined the Angel of God
expressing the anguish and shock of God Himself.
In Jeremiah 32, the Lord speaks of the pagan ritual
of throwing children into fire, a practice that the
Israelites began to do. He speaks of this practice
as something "that had never entered My mind!"

I think the first murder of a human
never entered His mind either.
